Here we go again…
So it’s been nearly a year since my last blog post, and I’m back again – but this time I mean business!
I promise to blog at least once a week. It will take the shape of a little bit of politics, maybe some fashion, a bit of music and film and ultimately, chart my decision to travel the world.
Currently I am sat in my living room, surrounded by books about visiting Asia. Next August, I hope to spend three weeks in China, Thailand and Malaysia.
I’m super fascinated with Eastern culture and not really brave enough to jack my job in and going travelling “properly”. So I’m testing the water, whilst saving for an Around the World trip that could start in January 2012. If not, I’ll have saved a pretty super deposit for a house, so all is not lost.
I’m very different to other travellers in that I don’t fancy the idea of going days without washing, sleeping in a really cheap hostel or travelling on a packed train through India when I could just fly. It’s so alien to me that I think it’s just what I need. I’m nervous about change, nervous around new people and new situations but it’s becoming more and more apparent that I feel as though I am missing out on what life could be or what the world has to offer.
So here I go, my journey of discovery… Welcome aboard!
Remembering
2009 was NOT the year to be a celebrity. The summer was like a vortex of death. I will mostly be remembering:
Michael Jackson
Say what you want about what this guy did or didn’t do. Everyone will remember where they were when they heard Michael was dead. His contribution to music and dance will be remember for a very long time. I have never known life without Michael Jackson in it, and weirdly my parents can’t really remember a time before him. Truly the King of Pop.
Patrick Swayze
I have no shame in saying I shed a tear for this man when he died. Did I know him? Nope but his struggle with cancer gave me hope when I found out my dad had cancer. Luckily for me my dad is still here but Patrick was inspiring.
Not to mention this dude appeared in some of my favourite movies ever – watch Roadhouse and tell me you don’t love it! Watch Dirty Dancng and tell me you don’t sorta wish you were Baby…
Keith Floyd
This dude is the REAL DEAL. As I come from a family of chefs, this man was the king of tv cooks. Keep your Delia, Keith brought a whole new style of cooking to the UK and inspired a generation to try something different.
He had his personal problems, but this man is the best it gets. He inspired some of today’s best chefs and he wasn’t even trained!
Maggie Jones aka Blanche from Coronation Street
LEGEND! The End.
Archie Mitchell
OK, technically NOT a celebrity death but quite possibly the greatest TV villain EVER, and he was killed off. Travesty

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This film is mesmerising. Has the story been told before, yep! But not like this! I sat there and thought ‘I never want to watch a movie that isn’t this amazing visually, ever!’
If you haven’t seen it yet, go! It’s like sex for the eyes!
Truly amazing
Welcome
New year’s resolution is to write one of these blog things, not sure how it will go. We’ll see!
Welcome and enjoy!
xoxo
